Revival Reports

David recently ministered at an Assembly of God church in New Jersey. The Sunday night service is a special time for David, as he prays and releases the children and youth to pray for the congregation. The Sunday night service has become known as the "miracle service". As David called out the people who had pain in their bodies, the youth and children laid their hands on individual people. David told the youth and children to take authority over the people's pain, and many were healed. After this David asked for those who had hearing problems to come forward, five people came up. One was a teenage girl who had been deaf in one ear since the age of six. After the children prayed for her David told her to close her good ear and then he whispered into her deaf ear. She shouted out what David whispered to her. She wept with joy and amazement that God had healed her using little kids. The next person the children prayed for was an elderly lady in her eighties who had been using a hearing aid to hear with. David asked her to remove it and then he whispered into her ears. The same thing happened to her, she was healed, and she also began shouting the words that David whispered into her ears. The next lady had a constant ringing in her ear as well as being unable to hear out of it. Guess what? That's right, after the children prayed for her she was also healed. God is using the foolish and weak things to confound the wise and mighty.Keep praying for us as we continue to believe for God to pour out his anointing upon his youth and children.

I really appreciated your ministry....It is powerful!!!!and I realyappreciated you praying for the kids that felt like they are called into ministry. My oldest son Samuel was slain in the spirit (1st time ever) when you prayed for him(at 195 lbs 5'10" with beard, mustache he does not look 15) and Joseph...you went back to him twice to pray with...(he was afraid he was going to bust his head if he fell back) so he was not slain in the spirit BUT he received the prayers over himself.

I'm listening to one of your tapes right now and feel like I am about to bust with total excitement about this new/fresh revelations about "all our babies" being so important in the kingdom of God!!! The little nine year old Shelby that you called up and held her arms as you spoke (she was one of our youth)...the very next day her little cousin came over to her house to spend the night and Shelby led her to the Lord. LESS THAN 24 HOURS AFTER WE GOT HOME, LITTLE SHELBY WAS OPERATING IN WHAT SHE HAD HEARD!!!!

I have great expectations for the work God has for our children to do and accomplish.....thank you so very much for your ministry and obedience to the Lord.

Over Seas Report

My sons and I were participants in your seminar at Kadena Community Church at Okinawa, Japan. The Holy Spirit really touched my sons. I cannot begin to share the awesome power and boldness that the Lord has given to my children. They now know that praising and worshiping the Lord, speaking and sharing the Gospel and just having an initmate relationship with Jesus can be so fun! Now that we are in England, the Lord is continuing their calling in Praise and Worship and being able to show the light of the Lord through their singing. Thank you Brother David and Sister Kathie for your servanthood to Our Lord.

So Long Overdue!

Dear Brother David:

This praise report is so long overdue; we apologize for the delay! My husband and I both attended a conference you did in Hagerstown, Maryland at Faith Chapel back in October of 1999. An employee of ours who attended the church had invited us. We were only able to attend the Saturday meeting, but what a time we had.

Neither of us had heard of you or your ministry, but we had been recently appointed to lead the youth of our church only six months earlier. We were at the place in our ministry where we knew that God was calling us to step out, but we had no idea of where we were going. We were willing, but lacked the know-how. Then we came and heard you speak.

The things that you shared about how to minister to children were both shocking to us and exciting! It is so wonderful how God begins to deal with our hearts prior to the time that something is going to be revealed to us. We were ready. As you shared about what to expect from children and what they expect from us as adults, I tell you I was wondering how many others were squirming in their seats. You see, I came from an early childhood and elementary school teaching background. The things that you were sharing were completely contrary to things that I had been taught as ways that children learn. Thank God, His thoughts are higher than our thoughts and His ways are higher than our ways. I had learned along time ago that submission was better than sacrifice, so I decided to dig in and go deeper with what God was saying to us through your meeting.

We purchased several books, study guides, etc. We took vicious notes as you taught the Word of God. We remained open minded and never spoke a Word against what we had heard. We went home, back to our Youth Group and Wednesday night services hit!

I stood in front of the group and repented of where we had missed it with them as leaders. I told them that God had a new direction for us and we were going to move into it. I preached a message for the first time! Not a prepared or scripted message, I taught the Word which was so alive in me that it came rushing out, with the same anointing as when Brother David spoke it at the meeting. I told the kids that they had the same Spirit of God in them as I had. I told them I was sorry for treating them differently!

I gathered them altogether in that small room and told them that we were going to pray. I lead the prayer as each child stood there holding the hand of a person next to them. I prayed fervently repenting of our disobedience to what God wanted us to do.

I began to feel God's anointing all over that room. Children began praying in their prayer language. Children began crying before the Lord. I felt the Lord instruct me to go around the circle and lay hands on each of the children. I had never done anything like this before, but I knew it was what I was supposed to do! As I walked around and laid hands on each child I felt a different anointing all over me. I was praying boldly in my prayer language and it was changing as I passed over each child. God was revealing to me different anointings for each child. Children were falling out under the anointing of God all around me. I must repeat, this had never happened before. Children were lying all over the floor, crying and being ministered to by the Lord. It was beautiful! Revival broke out that night in our Youth group. We were not prepared and we had no idea what to do! The Lord instructed me a little while later to gather up the children and take them over to the main sanctuary. God was obviously all over them. I hastily gave swift instructions on where we were going and what they were to do when they got there. Everyone followed me in quiet obedience and we burst into the main sanctuary. Our Pastor welcomed us with open arms and was sensitive to the move of the Holy Spirit immediately. I stood before the congregation and somehow tried to tell them what had just been happening with their children. The Spirit of God hit me again and I started preaching, all over again!

As I stood before the group, I tearfully asked if any of the children wanted to share what God had done for them. One by one they began to rise, sobbing and shaking, retelling what God had spoke to each of them. It was truly a moving experience. Some spoke of things that the Lord had told them to lay down, some spoke of healings, some spoke of their calling, each one was profoundly changed that night.

I write this lengthy report to tell you, that you won't remember us as anyone special at the meeting. We never came up for prayer. We never spoke to you during the event, but the uncompromised Word of God that you preached had a great impact on us, our church, and our Youth Group (the later two of which have never heard of you or your ministry). It's the Word of God that destroys the yokes. It's the Word of God that performs what God has sent it to do.

Things have not stopped after that evening! Things have only grown. Our group is now about thirty strong. We range in age from seven to twenty-two, but the Word of God ministers to all ages and provides the necessary understanding for each one's Spirit. Many since that night have received the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

  • They lay hands on the sick and they recover.
  • They prophesy, dream dreams, have visions, etc.
  • They lead others to Christ.
  • They are expecting less to be entertained and expecting more to be trained about the things of God.

Thank you for being obedient to your calling. We are very grateful!

I just wanted to give you some feed back on the seminar for training up your child. What a change has been made in my thinking. I guess because of never being trained up myself and not really ever knowing where to go for materials I have been doing a job that I did not realize I was not equipped to do.

I have probably more than 50 child rearing books I have purchased from books stores mostly all from Christian bookstores. I have read them all and taken what I felt I could use and tried to use it. I bought the Child Training Tips Book (What I wish I had know when my children were young) by Rob Bradley and what a book! How I wish it would have been brought to my attention 5 or 6 years ago. It tells you what you should do and then tells you what to do to correct problems if you weren't doing what you should have been. I am purchasing the book as Christmas gifts for families who I know need it.

It became very clear to me at the seminar what a real responsibility I have in raising Blake to be a mature and self controlled adult. The other thing that really hit me which I guess I knew already was that I am going to be responsible for how I discipline Blake and just because my spouse doesn't want to discipline does not release me from my responsibility. I understand that it will be more difficult for me and there will be times when I will be tired of being the enforcer but at this time in my life it is better to be the only one than to not have one at all. I have accepted this challenge and I'm not going to let Satan make me feel guilty about what I should have been doing in the past.

Thank you so much for going through the trouble to bring David Walters here.
I love you both.

The visitation with our kids is continuing. This Sunday some of them went into heavy-duty intercession during Children's Church, and had to be taken into a separate room where everything just intensified! At the end of a service that was powerfully anointed anyway, the children who had been praying were brought out (carried out) into the main auditorium where they joined the ministry team in praying. What a glorious day! God really moved powerfully imparting a heart for the lost and spiritual power to demonstrate the Kingdom to the lost. Thank you so much (thank David too!) for coming and sharing your lives and anointing with us!

You guys are awesome. Keep running with the fire!
Pastor Brad Watson

Brother David,

Just a note of praise and thanks to God Our Father for you're time of ministry with us at Calvary Fellowship, Florence, Al. Our church continues to enjoy a fresh working of the Holy Spirit among us. Our children and teens continue to be very excited, the Lord is using them in ministry like they never dreamed. Children have been prophesying to each other in one of our Sunday school classes. We are planning a Sunday night miracle service on the first Sunday night of each month. Our whole church has been greatly encouraged in the Holy Spirit. The Lord bless you and this ministry through you!

In Him,
Gary DeVaney/Calvery Fellowship

A Daily News Update

Pentecostals Urgently Raising Children as 'Warriors for God'

More and more Christians are placing an emphasis on training the youngest to embrace spiritual disciplines by Leigh DeVore. The phenomenon of turning children as young as toddlers into "warriors for God" is sweeping Pentecostalism, according to an article in "The Dallas Morning News." Through intense training in prayer and Bible study, parents believe they can resist what they believe are Satan's attacks on their kids. The children, they say, may go on to become prophets and healers. In order to arm children with the Holy Spirit, dozens of children's ministries are appearing with names such as National Children's Prayer Network, Spiritual Warfare Advanced Training and International Children's Ministry Institute. The Dallas newspaper reported that an assortment of forces seem to be motivating parents to instill the faith in their children at younger and younger ages. Factors include the belief that the end of the world is near, the increase in television violence, the outcome of President Clinton's moral failings, and the April 1999 Columbine High School tragedy in Colorado.
"If Satan can't kill through abortion, he'll kill them through other stuff," said David Walters, a Georgia-based evangelist on the cutting edge of the phenomenon. "It's almost a last desperate final fling to destroy this generation because he knows there is coming this holy, righteous, anointed generation that's going to do mighty things in these last days. Our children could be the last generation on this earth before the return of Christ," Walters explained.
Susan Lovvorn, a children's minister at The North Church in Carollton, Texas, agrees. "This is a chosen generation," said Lovvorn, who is from Coppell, Texas. "When you look at what's going on, I do believe Jesus' return is soon. There are too many rumblings and warning signs. So much is going against children." However, one factor gives Lovvorn hope. "The children will usher in a revival," she said. "God moves in so many ways with these children." According to Gaston Espinosa, a religious studies professor at Westmont College in California, training children to be intensely spiritual is not a new trend in Pentecostalism. He noticed in his examination of the movement's beginnings 100 years ago that many children gave inspirational testimonies in revival services. "Children were seeing visions and prophesying," he said. "The decision by adults to include children was very unusual then. Pentecostalism was a religion that emphasized youth participation in a way mainstream denominations didn't." That's because Pentecostalism is an idealistic movement, Espinosa explained. "It takes the Bible at face value," he said. "If the Bible says Jesus healed somebody, they believe Jesus healed somebody." Espinosa added that a lot of what is being seen is a reaction to social anarchy in schools. Modern Pentecostals "believe they're giving [their children] protection against demonic activity," he explained. Another aspect benefiting children's ministries, "The Dallas Morning News" reported, is the revival at Brownsville Assembly of God in Pensacola, Fla. Partly due to the flood of people and money into the church, the congregation has launched an influential children's ministry that other Pentecostals are trying to imitate. Vann Lane, children's pastor at Brownsville, said a boy named Jacob, at age 10, laid hands on a blind girl and healed her. Jacob, now 13, is a church elder.
Though that seems a little young by many Christians' standards, David Walters thinks differently. "Children do not have a baby Jesus inside them or a junior Holy Spirit," said Walters, who operates Good News Fellowship Ministries in Macon, Ga., with his wife, Kathie. "They have the full-sized Son of God inside them. They may be immature in the natural realm but mighty in the spirit."

Blessings from Heaven

Recently in one of David Walters' meetings, Nicole a 7 year old girl was given a vision, first of Hell, and then of Heaven.  After Nicole shared her vision with David he asked if she would draw it. The following pictures are what she drew from her vision.

   Picture of Heaven

David Walters was at New Life Assembly of God in Beulah, ND. the weekend of Jan 25th. During the Sunday night miracle service several children were laying hands on the sick andGirl praising Godpraying for them. A woman named Anita was almost blind in one eye. She could make out shapes only, but after prayer she was able to count the fingers that Rev Walters held up in front of her. She was also able to see writing on a post on the wall several feet away although she could not read the words. The following Sunday she was able to read her Bible clearly from that eye. God had completely healed her eye.

Jacob a 5th grader came to the meetings reluctant. He was brought by his grandmother and was very depressed, due to his family situation. When he came for prayer he was overcome by the power of God and began to weep as the Lord spoke to him and said, "If you will yield to me, I will fill you with my joy." His tears turned to joy as he surrendered, then the Lord said to him that He was calling him to be a preacher.  Jacob's grandmother had a heart condition for almost two years.Children praying for each other. She was in constant pain in her chest and had breathing problems. After the children prayed for her on Sunday evening, the pain immediately left and she was able to breath normally.

Julie Enget the pastor's wife and Sunday School Coordinator said the following: After experiencing "Raising An Anointed Generation" Seminar, Family Rally, Sunday Morning Service, and Children's Miracle Service we feel our church has stepped up into an anointed dimension. There is more Holy Ghost fire, hunger for families, greater intercession, and greater urgency to pray and seek God. We are now establishing ministry teams with children and youth.
